Learn some basic set up when create a new part: properties. Perform a variety of tasks from Organize drop down menu in the Browser: New folder, Rename, Cut, copy, Paste, Delete and Add to common folder. Known the use of Chamfer, threads and standard Holes commands. Learn to use Layers to organize features. Enhance model visualization with the use of Color and Shading commands. Utilize of Info command to extract Relation information. and use it to establish Model Sectioning. Learn to create Datums to locate features, set datum planes for Geo. Understand Setup & Environment settings and feature Dashboard. Understand the overall function, form and fit of part before plan a design ( Design Intent). There are four basic protrusion: Extrusion, Revolve, Blend and Sweep. Learn that the first solid feature in part creation is EXTRUSION. Use System settings to customize display setting for own use. Utilize the Engineering tools such as Hole, Shell, Round Chamfer and Draft to create various parts. Access of HELP function to learn CAD software. Familiarize with Pro/E working environment. Utilize the cad-resource to down load 3D CAD models from internet.
